When you turned 40, you probably noticed your body wasn’t responding to workouts the way it used to in your younger days.

Although it might seem daunting, building muscle after this age is not only possible-it's essential and not as difficult as you may think because...

ANY POSITIVE STEP YOU TAKE TOWARDS ADDING LEAN MUSCLE IS BETTERTHANZERO STEPS!

As we age, our metabolism naturally slows down, making it easier to gain fat and harder to hold onto muscle.

By actively engaging in muscle building, we combat these changes and protect our long-term health.

The journey, however, isn’t without its hurdles.

Our bodies are not as resilient as when we were 20.

Recovery periods need more attention, and injuries could take longer to heal.

But here’s the inspiration—committing to strength training as we age provides countless benefits, like improved fat loss, better bone density, reduced risk of chronic diseases, depression and enhanced mood and cognitive function.

So, ready to embrace the challenge? It's time to be betterthanzero!

Building lean muscle after the age of 40 involves understanding what lean muscle mass truly means.

Lean muscle is the surplus tissue that doesn’t carry fat.

Unlike past experiences, building it now requires adjustments.

Our metabolism isn’t as forgiving, and the pursuit of muscle involves increased diligence.

Unique challenges present themselves in metabolism changes, potential hormonal shifts, and the need for caution against injuries.

Setting realistic expectations is crucial—consistency trumps intensity!

It’s less about overnight transformations and more about gradual, sustainable growth AND TAKING THE FIRST STEP PAST 0!

Achieving muscle gain at this stage isn’t about chasing youth; it’s about embracing continual improvement.

ANY IMPROVEMENT IS BETTERTHANZERO IMPROVEMENT!

The Benefits of Building Lean Muscle Naturally

Building lean muscle naturally, even after the age of 40, can have a profound impact on your overall health. It not only boosts your metabolism and helps you burn fat more efficiently but also plays a crucial role in improving hormonal balance, bone strength, and mental clarity.

At betterthanzero Fitness, we put a heavy focus on the power of small consistent steps towards building lean muscle naturally as you age.

By focusing on sustainable lifestyle changes and gradual progress, you can achieve long-term success in your lean muscle building fitness journey and enjoy lasting health benefits even better than you have before-- EVEN AFTER THE AGE OF 40!.

Prioritizing Hormonal Health, ACCELERATED FAT LOSS, Bone Density and Mental Well-Being

By prioritizing hormonal health, bone density accelerated fat loss, and mental well-being through building lean muscle naturally, you can enhance your quality of life and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.

Understanding hormones and muscle growth after 40 unveils the less visible but vital aspect of fitness.

Hormonal balances change with age, notably in testosterone and estrogen levels-- and this can and will influence lean muscle mass!

Balancing these hormones involves lifestyle modifications, such as diet and stress reduction, and can sometimes require medical consultation.

Natural methods, like engaging in high-intensity training and consuming nutrients that promote hormone health, prove effective in maintaining gains.

Focusing on hormonal health ensures sustained progress.

Experience with Dushawn (Duey) Hadinger:

Duey, (that is what I call him) is one of my best learning sponges and teachers.

As a former professor and head of biology and medical departments, I am still amazed on how much Duey has taught me about ingredients, formulations and the physiology of how nutritional strategies, supplements and specific exercise regimens work in the body and brain.

Duey and I are currently working on a scientific research paper that will be published in a medical journal, on how Atherosclerosis and epigenetic factors contribute to prostate cancer.

Duey gave me the epigenetic angle on this, and I incorporated that heavily in our paper. Duey and I enjoy coffee 3 times a week, and I consider him a great friend.

Duey is extremely intelligent and passionate about getting people life changing and lasting results.

You can be assured that his knowledge of nutrition, nutritional supplementation and physical training is second to none.

I have also never seen anyone so disciplined and accountable for his own physical health, even with the struggles with major depressive disorder issues that have affected him over the last 15 years.
